Written Test

The pattern of the test was as follows:

  • Quantitative: The Quantitative Aptitude section contains school level math questions from topics like Algebra, Time and work, Arithmetic, Geometry, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Time Speed and Distance, etc.
  • Reasoning: This section included questions on topics: decision-making and problem-solving skills and your ability to think logically. Some of the topics are Statement & conclusion, Visual reasoning, Relationships, Data sufficiency, Odd one out, Series, Coding decoding, Puzzles, Analogies, etc.
  • Verbal Abiliy: The verbal ability section tests your grammar, text comprehension and vocabulary. This section includes questions on Reading comprehension, Sentence correction, Synonyms antonyms, Spellings, Idioms, etc.
  • Computer Programming In this section, you can expect technical questions from topics like Programming, Algorithm development concepts, Structure & constructs of computer programs, Object oriented programming concepts, etc.

After successfully clearing the Round- 1 of HCL Technologies Hiring Process, the selected students are called up for the Technical Interview Round of HCL Technologies Recruitment Process which is the Round – 2. In this round the students can expect the questions like these:

  • Explain SDLC?
  • List the different storage class specifiers in C?
  • What is the necessity & advantages of OOPS?
  • Write the programming code to swap two numbers without using the third variable?
  • What is networking?
  • What was your role in your major project?

After successfully clearing the Round- 2 of HCL Technologies Recruitment Process, the selected students are called up for the HR Interview Round of HCL Technologies Hiring Process which is the Round – 3. In this round the students can expect the questions like these:

  • what do you know about HCL Technologies?
  • Tell me something about yourself ?
  • What are your future plans?
  • What are your strengths professionally?
  • Tell me something about yourself, which you haven’t mentioned in your resume
  • Tell us about an accomplishment you are most proud of
  • Do you want to pursue higher education?
